This Policy explains what information Flexable handles, why we use it, when it may be shared and the choices available to you. It applies when you visit flexable.work or use Flexable services.

01

Scope

Flexable connects clients with independent professionals and provides tools for profiles, matching, project conversations, payments and delivery.

This Policy covers personal information Flexable handles through those services. It does not cover information handled independently by a client, freelancer, payment provider or other third party under its own privacy terms.

02

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, information created when you use Flexable, and limited information from services that help us operate the platform.

  • Account and contact information such as your name, email address, phone number, company and location.
  • Professional profile information such as skills, role, work samples, links, ratings and other details you choose to add or that we verify.
  • Project information such as briefs, budgets, timelines, messages, files, agreed scope and delivery activity.
  • Verification information when needed to confirm identity, professional details or eligibility for a feature.
  • Transaction information such as payment amount, status, receipt details and related records.
  • Usage and device information such as pages viewed, actions taken, browser, device, IP address and similar technical data.
We only ask for what the product needs. The information required may differ depending on whether you are browsing, hiring, offering services or using a payment feature.
03

How we use information

We use information to operate Flexable and make the service useful, reliable and safe. This includes:

  • creating and managing accounts and profiles;
  • understanding project requirements and recommending relevant talent;
  • supporting project conversations, availability checks, delivery and payments;
  • verifying information and maintaining the quality of profiles and rankings;
  • providing support and resolving disputes;
  • protecting Flexable and its users from fraud, abuse and security threats;
  • measuring product performance and improving features; and
  • sending service messages and, where permitted, relevant product updates.

Where law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on the basis that fits the activity, including performing a contract, legitimate interests, consent or compliance with law.

04

Public profiles and rankings

Some professional information may be public, including your name, profile image or logo, location, skills, rating, category, ranking position and other profile details that are designed to help clients evaluate talent.

Flexable may use verified professional signals to organise or rank public profiles. We may update, correct or remove information where it is inaccurate, outdated or cannot be verified.

Project messages, private contact details, payment information and other information marked or designed as private are not made public through a profile simply because you appear in a ranking.

05

When we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only where it is needed to provide Flexable, support a transaction, protect the service or comply with law.

  • With other users when a profile, project or conversation requires it.
  • With service providers that support hosting, communications, analytics, verification, customer support or other platform operations.
  • With payment providers when you make or receive a payment.
  • For safety or legal reasons when reasonably necessary to prevent harm, enforce our terms or respond to a lawful request.
  • As part of a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to appropriate safeguards.
06

Payments

Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. They may collect payment credentials directly under their own privacy terms. Flexable may receive transaction information needed to confirm, record or support the payment.

We keep payment-related records where needed for receipts, disputes, accounting, fraud prevention and legal obligations.

07

Cookies and analytics

Flexable may use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, understand how the product is used and improve reliability and performance.

Where required, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies. You can also control cookies through your browser or any cookie controls we provide.

08

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, including providing the service, keeping transaction records, resolving disputes, maintaining security and meeting legal requirements.

When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymise or securely retain it only where law or a legitimate operational need requires us to do so.

09

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a secure email account, protect your sign-in access and tell us if you believe your Flexable account has been compromised.

10

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to certain uses of your personal information, or request a portable copy of it.

You can update many profile and account details directly in Flexable. For requests that cannot be completed in the product, contact us. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

You can opt out of non-essential marketing communications using the unsubscribe option provided with them. Service and account messages may still be sent when needed to operate Flexable.

11

International use

Flexable may be used by clients, freelancers and service providers in different countries. As a result, information may be processed outside the country where you live.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use appropriate contractual or legal mechanisms for those transfers.

12

Children

Flexable is intended for people who can legally enter into contracts for professional services. It is not designed for children. If we learn that personal information was collected from a child in circumstances where it should not have been, we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

13

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as Flexable changes or when privacy requirements change. The latest version will be published here with its updated date.

If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide reasonable notice where required.
